does anyone actually have a greddy sr radiator either for s13 or s14 motorset? the greddy is 2row aluminum but im trying to compare it between the koyo's aluminum radiators.
everyone seems to have koyo so im trying to get some input on the greddy units. does koyo make a 3 row aluminum radiator?

i guess no one knows.. what would you guys go with? greddy or koyo? i believe that ucic240 said the greddy is 3row which is why it cost more but from everywhere else.. the greddy is mentioned as 2 row aluminum.. oh wells.. i guess i'll hold off on the greddy and get the koyo..

I had a Koyo on my 300ZXTT and I loved it. Great fit, great cooling power. I would go wth the company the specializes in radiators over a company that tries to do everything. Im not saying Greedy is bad or cant make a good radiator. Just saying I would go with what you know works. Most use Koyo, and have no problems so I would imagine you would not either, and thats what counts. However, in the end it probably wont matter, they probably are both about the same. JMO

I have a koyo and it's a 2 row. Pretty sure greddy is a 2 row as well. Everyone probably goes with the Koyo cuz its cheaper :D Other than that I don't think there is a difference

Nope. I've specifically said many times that the Koyo is NOT 3 row. It's 2. AFAIK, there is a really expensive Greddy *is* 3 row. They have a cheaper one that is 2 row though. Both are more than the Koyo. The Koyo is awesome. Get it.

UIUC240: did you ever have overheating issues? I swear it's a myth. I just got back from a 600mi trip in 100+ degree weather (w/o AC, ugh!) and my temp gauge (stock) never got above the 3rd bar (or maybe 4th, I'd have to go look at the gauge). I have a FMIC blocking half the radiator, and the stock nose w/o and vents modded in. I've never had overheating issues :/

I was looking at those on Rare tricks site. yummy. and the pink waterpump pulleys too! I havent had a problem with mine overheating yet (constant 80-90+ degree days since like May) and Im rrunning stock S14 radiator with a funky mix of coolant water and Redline waterwetter.

Does the water wetter make any kind of appreciable difference?

if I had a working temp gauge i'd tell ya :D but from talking to a customer (not an employee) at the shop I bought it at he said it made a noticable difference in him M3s temp.

Yoshi, I had issues with overheating at first...but I don't think it was due to the radiator. I mainly got the radiator for two reasons:
1. I didn't like how the temp would spike on long highway pulls.
2. I plan to race in the future.
Also, you should stop trusting your factory temp gauge RIGHT NOW. By the time that thing moves away from the middle, you're already well over 210 degrees.

Koyo here. I never had a problem with it overheating at all.

I ordered my Koyo last week and just waiting now. The stock radiator is just too dam small to cope with 14psi and 105degree heat index. Oddly enough sitting in traffic and "stop and go" the temp gauge won't budge but on really hot days there is no hope for WOT runs.
I want to get back to the track but with the stock rad and FMIC that will not happen w/o serious overheating issues. Sometimes I miss my SMIC:wtc: then I hit the gas :mrmeph:
