As far as fast food is concerned, Steak n Shake is the business.

If a place doesn't sell fries with a topping of cheese it ain't worth the time.

theres a BOMB burrito place in redlands and I believe there is a location also in Colton. Its called El Burrito. They make all the tortillas in the morning so i you go close to closing time they might run out. they also run out of chile rellenos. worth a stop!

^^
Mi Rancho is the bomb, and the Germantown one is better than the new location in Rockville. Try the Mexican place at 28 & Travilah though, it's serious business.

To echo the sentiments of some other poster above, Le Bernadin is indeed the shit. Per Se is still my favorite NYC restaurant, however.

My favorite restaurant ever is probably Toque in Montreal.

Restaurant Toqué! (http://www.restaurant-toque.com/)

Favorite places in DC are Volt, Patowmack Farm, Tosca, El Pollo Rico, Eatbar, Tachibana, and The Source.

mr. pollo has really good pollo la brasa (peruvian) and other dishes. it's like juan pollo/el pollo loco but with much better flavor.

also taste of texas for tex-mex food with good portions. the homemade tortillas are delicious. both are in west covina.
