Theres something thats bugging me,I just bought a sr20 coupe a few days back it has a hks version 1 ssqv bov and is sounding like its making it compressor surge like the turky gobble,I tried loosening the screw on the bov as far as it would go with no luck? Also the vacuum line is teed off to the wastegate Im wondering if it should have its own vacuum source then maybe it will get rid of this or would I need to buy a better bov?Maybe im just trippin and its supposed to have a slight turky gobble to the ssqv let me know.

unless it's surging while you're trying to accelerate. You'll be fine.

Turkey gobble is a wierd way to describe it..haha
Anyways, sounds like your vacuum lines are wrong, like maybe the vacuum line is hooked up to the emissions vacuum on the throttle body.
The HKS SSQ BOV has a very high pitch to it

Yea thats what I dont get vacuum is correct its going directly to the manifold after the throttle body and the vacuum line is a nice diameter,If its not gonna damage anything Ill leave it alone,It doesnt do it too bad but it doesnt let out one big "wooooosh" sound just sounds like a turkey gobble I guess is the best way to explain it?lolThanks for the input if worst somes to worst Ill run seprate vacuum lines for the wastegate and bov so there not teed.

You never tee off the vacuum line going to the BOV.
Never.
