whats the max rpm on a redtop sr20det

12k before vtec kicks in about 8k
I think it's 7.5k after that, not too safe (stock)

i would say around 7.5-8.0k anything after that and your looking for trouble with hydroulic lifters.

the stock redtop ecu is programmed for soft:7500rpm Hard:7600rpm. revving up normal driving you'll maybe hit 7250rpm soft, if your banging through the gears you can hit 7500-7600rpm. If you miss a down shift(5th to 2nd)the skies the limit!

i wouldnt go over 8200-8500 with a stock bottom end with fully built head + tune.
stock is at like 7400rpm if im right but when you miss a gear shifting hard i think i might have got to like 7600 or 7700, was pretty scary.
