Hey guys, not sure if im posting in the right section, but if im not feel free to say so. I'm planning on tinting my windows sometime this summer but im not quite sure if i should. I'm pretty sure most 240s has scratches going up top to their window (assuming) because of the shitty cushioning thing it has inside the doors (it looks like some type of felt). I kinda hear some scraping on my window seldom but not all the time so i'm wondering if you guys who've tinted ur windows have the same problem? If so how'd you fix it? Im just scared to pay for a tint job and then have it scratched away. any input will be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, Based on experience, removing and putting on tints is complicated. The complex glass curvature and heat-shrinking are far too difficult. So I suggest you leave the job to the professionals, not only it's practical some even give a lifetime warranty for your tint so no worries. I consulted the expert on tints at Google (http://www.google.com) for my window tinting needs, they provided quotations, tint law in every state and locate the best professional tint installer near my area. I hope this helps.

Yeah, i wasn't planning on installing it myself but was just wondering if anyone who has scratches on their windows, like myself, if they had any problems with the tints getting scratched as well.

My tint got a bit scratched as well from it (my old tint). When I got the new tint from a very reputable tint shop, I don't remember it being very scratched. I would take precaution and do something about that stupid little felt thing though, when it gets scratched, it will piss you off.

i have mine 10% all around and i do have scratches on my driver side all the way up, but luckily they are only on the outside and not the inside. either way it pisses me off.
is it possible to replace that felt thing?
