It kinda depends, 5K is a good guesstimate, but it can be done for less (and it could be done for more).
How are you when it comes to cars, do you already have the capabilities to install a motor. Do you have all the necessary tools for it?
Even better q is do you plan on doing it or sending it to a shop. If you send it to a shop, it'll depend on the shop. Try and find a place that has done this before (look for the big names like heavy throttle mckinney, depending on where you live).
Good luck with it. If you have a lot of money I suggest keping the blazer, that way you have a car to drive around, there might be a longer unexpected downtime.

I'm getting close to $7500 and my car still doesn't run :(
Tip 1.) buy a car that runs or just stopped running recently. Not one that has been sitting for a while
Tip 2.) buy the front clip from a reputable company.

8k and I am done. Once I get my Civic prepped for race dutties in the East Coast Honda Challenge I will turn the 240 into a carpet queen that still sees massive track time! This is what the 8k can buy (includes price of car)

Edit: I saved a ton of money buy shopping classifieds on forums
Greddy FMIC-$250
AGX/HKS kg/mm-$475
Volk Mesh-$550
etc.
I'm a cheap bastard so if you have patience you can get the deals that I got:bow:
