Well, I finally ditched my 1.75" Meineke exhaust(half of it or what's left of it anyways) and got a new GP Sports Spec D. Very nice for the price! I was also surprised that it is not loud(I was expecting it to be loud because there is no resonator). This exhaust is perfect...it's cheap, high quality, looks nice, sounds nice and you could beat it up racing at your discretion and not worry about it like if you had a $700+ full stainless system. Sounds deep, throaty and smooth. Motor revs quicker and smoother than when the meikneke was on it(obviously). It's even quieter.

From the T.shirt in the pics,I am assuming he got it from tougefactory.com.

They list it as just a hair under $400.

$399 from tougefactory.com, free shipping! The only thing I don't like about it is that the canister(the lowest part/or part closest to piping) scrapes slightly going down driveways. I think it's because it has a crazy angle(not just sideways) that points the canister/tip upwards. It looks good though, I like ThA MIzzAd TyTE GaNSta AnglEs yO!:whip:

I am thinkin of buying that exhaust but im not sure yet. I was either going to buy an N1 muffler and get custom 2.5inch piping from the cat back with a resonater put on or I was going to get that exhaust. Which would you recomend?

Personally, I would NEVER get a custom exhaust made.....too many problems. Even if the guys a good welder/fabricator it will never turn out as nice as a bolt on system. Some problems are, Muffler shops complain that there isn't enough room underneath for 3" piping, and if they do it it will have funny clearance issues with either the under chassis or the ground, hangers are mounted in not so good of angles ending up in a "loose" hanging exhaust/muffler swings around while you drive, funny angles, weird bends, not so perfect welds, still have to paint the piping to fight rust, and the list goes on. And shops usually charge about 200-300 for 2.5"-3" cat back piping, then add some more money for the N1 canister and some more money for the resonator and you will end up with a custom exhaust that is for sure more than 400 bux and a fraction of the quality as a bolt-on system. Well, thats my view on custom exhausts by ordinary muffler shops. But if a good friend or yourself is fabbing it up, I'm sure you can make a really nice one.

Damn! That's a clean exhaust, but how big is the muffler, 115mm?
That thing is huge!! I have N1 duals at 90mm and they fit just right into the bumper of my 96'. Are you planning on lowering the car, or is it already lowered? That thing will scrap bad if it goes any lower.
The N1 had little problem with scraping, just at the connecting flanges of the muffler and the Cat pipe.
Very good looking exhaust for 400 bucks!! I'm wishing I had a Apex GT-spec now that I look at that beast.

the piping(sp?) is 80mm, and tip is 110mm, IIRC.

What is your car lowered on? Ho much of a drop does your car have? I have the Tein s tech srpings which lowers my coupe about an inch and I want to know if the exhaust will scrap on my car.

it just does. Look at my pics(stock vs aftermarket flanges), notice how the holes on the flanges are actually slotted holes so it can bolt on a stock cat.

Very interesting deal. Would there be anything that could prevent the scratching? Besides the obvious, some kind of heat resistant material? If not, I guess who cares, I am for functionality and that would help the exhaust system breathe much easier, IMO
