Unoriginal, Played Out 240s and mods....Thread.

Let's see your examples of the most un-originally modified 240s. Most common colors, wheels, mods, etc. Some of the stuff is laughably bad. Some actually looks good, but you see everyone and their mothers doing it.

Or just post things that you've seen too many times in the 240sx world.

Examples:

Flat black paint.
Maroon S13s (guilty)
Emerald S14 zenkis. (guilty)
FN01R-C (guilty)
MB Battles (guilty)
Windshield stickers.
Option stickers above exhaust.
etc etc


I'll start with this: I owned this car for a few months in 2005. One of the most bland modded 240s I could think of: maroon chuki s13 with black FNs. :rofl: At the time, there were hundreds of cars just like this being posted on Zilvia daily.

Is true 240s are played out and this convo that has been going for a while already. The 3 years the chassis gone from 30-130 in that time. I've always said that there isnt enough 240s since they from die from rust,crashing and being junked. Also having a 240 looks like fade and slowly is dieing off,i seen guys get into 240s and go running back where they came from. Cause good parts are cheap,RWD in the rain,random bs of owning a 240 and etc.

Hasn't really "ALL" been done. That Odyssey front end was pretty new.. has anyone done that in the US? Are we just talking about aesthetics or performance mods too? KA24ET, not too many people have... same goes for VQ/VH. How about a mild NA build on the KA? If I hadn't already swapped, I was entertaining the idea of a K-Series swap from Honda.

they do the job fine & are cheap.
wish I got a pair of those instead of some Volk CE's.

-Ummm, the 240sx is just another import. It happens to be my favorite "just another import", but the truth is the truth.

-A stock 240sx is definitely NOT stylish and the cars are also not considered classics in any way.

-The nissan 240sx is by far the best drift car ever made. So yes, you can drift other cars, but it just doesn't make as much sense.

-Cars DO take a LOT of work and money, well at least nice ones do. More then that tracking your car takes a LOT of time and money. Anyone who modifies a car and has no aspirations of it ever seeing the track is a lesser person IMO.

215 on a 9" wheel is not too far, 225's are the minimum size for OEM standards. Plus it's hard to have a slammed car with 255's up front without it rubbing pretty bad on the stock fenders, trust me I've tried lol

For "fitment" I like a 225 on a 9" wheel actually. 215 just looks too small IMO. Besides a 215 on a 9 is far from the worst some people do...

it is nice. i have a B&M short shifter and a 6" knob. its a lot closer to the steering wheel and verry convenient for drifting. i got the knob cause it was less of a hassle than the 3" extension with the stock shift knob.
