Well. This has got to be my 3rd set of struts.
I bought my car from the original owner. Of course, like most 240s, the struts were all blown. No big, I replaced them and drove the car for about 6 months no problems.
So, after 6 months, I decide to replace the springs and go with Eibach Sportlines. Not two weeks later, I have blown my struts. I figured it was my fault for using cheap Monroe struts.
So, I picked up some still good oem struts and springs, and sold the eibachs. A few weeks later, struts are bouncy again.
Now, I picked up some Tokiko HPs and paired them with H&R springs. They have been on the car for about two weeks and are leaky as hell and are starting to bounce. I'm really pissed and am seriously considering giving up on modifying this car until I get coilovers.
Any insight?

your problem is buying the springs. no matter what springs you use it will blow the shocks or struts unless they acomodate them.

save your money and buy coilovers. all those times you bought the struts or shocks you could got at least close buying a good set of coilovers

Actually all the struts and springs have been friend hookups. Except for the first set which I bought.

you have to have springs that would match the struts or shocks. by going costume it would work and wont blow.

just save your money and get coilovers instead of blowing your money on shocks and struts each time they go bad.
