Ok,

Just took the SR out of my old hatch (wrecked) and put it in the new one and it won't start. I have fuel/spark, timing hasn't been touched so it should be good, and my I/C piping is snug so should be getting air as well.

The car turns over just won't start. Recently, it fired up for about 2 seconds and died. after those 2 seconds of false hope, it just turned over, wouldn't start again.

That was a week ago, I tried starting it today and it ran for about 5-6 seconds, idled roughly, and died out. I didn't think to give it gas to see if it wouldn't die.

So...my car only starts after sitting for a while? Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks and help is appreciated.

Does it have something to do with the tach jumping around like crazy when trying to start? It bounces to ~4k with every turn the engine makes. Wrong plug maybe?

Could it be one of these?

The tach issue probably would be a problem. Are your fuel lines crossed? Sure everything is plugged in right?

Pretty sure it's a wiring issue somewhere but I have no idea what it is

fuel lines are correct (FPR to return, filter to rail)

Codes on ecu? Got spark got fuel fuel pump stays on? Sounds like it only primes the fuel. Check cas and water temp sensor.

Code 55, thought that means nothing wrong?
CAS could be off but I doubt it because I didn't touch it during the swap...

Checked for crossed fuel lines today, resulted in 45 minutes of fighting with seized on rubber lines and fuel blasting me in the face. and now it it doesn't even turn over. Awesome.

Is this your ECU pinout?

If so, look at the PIN 34 (orange wire). You will need a multimeter for this. While the engine is cranking, check to see if there is voltage on this wire.
