is there a way I can test to see if my ecu is working? I tried to pull codes with the flashing LED..but it's not flashing or lighting up at all. It's a 89 s13 with a fresh swapped sr20. I'm not getting spark out of the coils and nit getting power to the fuel pump..any insight to the probs would be great..thanks

installing a known good working ecu is how you test if your ecu is bad

if your checking for power, you'll be reading Voltage! Ohms is resistance! Since the car is powered by a 12volt system, you should be seeing 12 volts going to the ecu.
to the op, get a factory service manual.

i got the same problem.
no voltage to the ecu. diagnostic led not lighting up. no spark no fuel.
i read in the fsm to check for continuity between the ecu and eccs relay.
anyone had this problem before?
