ok i jus got the autometer electronic oil psi gauge. (this is for SR)

i was wondering how you guys connected the sending unit?

did you screw the sending unit straight to the block? does it even fit with the filter being right there???

or did you have a seperate line? and mounted the sending unit somewhere else...

i was reading the instruction sheet and it was saying it was better to run the seperate line because of the vibrations..

pics would be helpful or any advice

thanks

Go out and get and Greddy Sandwich plate or equal to it. It will have a port for the sending to go into.

That's what I have for my pressure gauge

ebay sells pretty cheap sandwich plates and they work with no problem.

Remove the OE oil pressure switch.

Screw in the new sender.

Drive car. It's really not that difficult.

^Autometer sensor is too large to screw it in place of the stock sensor (if OP is referring to the one from the parts store, which most are, an ultralite gauge). It hits the filter before you can even get close to screwing it in. I am using a NISsport adapter. AMS also sells a 12" long SS hose that will screw into the stock location and allow to remote mount the sensor.
