You can bring any japanese car into california, like for instense a s15 spec R for around 14k, but it will NEVER be legal, its either a permanent track car which can still get impounded or dont get one. Or register outside california, its all going to cost a bunch and a lot of headache.
I've been trying to get one legally, been chatting nation highway assosiation and its pretty much impossible.

I want to know how you brought it here. Because im Military also and TMO will NOT ship any car that isnt legal here in the states. No matter what you do. So you didnt go through military to get it here.
i tried to get a r33 shipped by tmo and they laughed at me hard. haha.
but good luck on the car man. it needs a little attention but still sweet

^^ Now, can it be registered in CA? Since it was registered in FL, when you take in a car from another state into CA, you'll need to conform with CA smog regulations.
Assuming that this car is not registered as a "Collector" type car or "Kit" car, I can't really see it legal in CA. Before you drop $30K regardless of it's a deal or not, make sure you can roll on the streets.
GLWS. IMO, Cars that aren't made in USA, are 99% Illegal, and 99.9% in CA.

omg so much hate on an s15. lol
n.e.ways, maybe the car is street legal in florida, thus the reason why he could bring it to the states through military. as far as being street legal in cali, it is, since its got florida plates, as long as you have a florida DL youre good to go; hence youd be an out of state tourist.
or just do it like they do over where i live;
bring an r33 legally or not, import it to mexico, then import it to the usa. shazam.
lol
way off topic, i know.
glws, and id buy the car if i didnt care about money.

Yes, I was going to say the same. Looks worst than stock, probably was hit that's why the front body parts were replaced. Would sell for 39k if it was stock body and mint! With nice wheels and quality bolt on parts for surehaha your funny, so any car with body parts that have been replaced with aftermarket aero has been hit ? Not every S15 in japan is kept stock, go there and see for yourself.

GLWS man. Thats a nice ass S15 regardless of what these people say!
Either you want it or you don't, why hate ??
I can say the pics don't do it justice, and it actaully looks better than a good percentage of the cars on Zilvia . Seriously only a small percentage on this board actually have nice looking cars, so for people to hate on this car looks.:keke: Should I mention cars with zero defects. The same car can be solded by other member on the board and there be nothing but positive comments. KillaB you need to read what he wrote again, I see the point your trying to make though. Asking the TMO E-4 "Gatekeeper" a question he doesn't now gets you the standard answer on NO. Trust me I'm TMO'ing at the moment.
Hey everyone, im not trippin on anything anyone said, everyone has there own opinion. Like i said in the main post i know im not going to get what i asked for it, i know this, and it doesnt bother me. Like MADE said, the pics dont do the car any justice. The car has NEVER been in any type of crash what so ever. I hit a dip a little to hard once and it cracked my front lip, i got it repaired and repainted. I worked on the car in Japan and modded it while i was there, thats why its not stock. The injectors and the rest of the fuel system is being completed this weekend and timing as well. Im looking to be pushing at least low 400hp. If you dont like the car, whatever you dont like it, for everyone who did, thanks, if you have any questions PM me, i have nothing to hide. I shipped the car with a few high class buddies that i know and registered the car as a KIT car in Flordia.
Again if your gonna bash by all means go ahead, if you complement, thanks, if you have questions ask.

I'll agree about the price, but tell me a single thing wrong with ce28's. They don't look bad, forged monoblock, and rays wheels typically last a good long time.
Just a point of the entire world not wanting to rock 29 pound wheels. People spend time and money removing sound deadening, stripping their interiors, etc, but add 100 pounds in unsprung weight by wearing lead shoes. Yeah, that makes sense.
Nice car though, tons of potential. 30k is too high, but i'm sure that point's been beaten into the OP's face by now.

WOW Gread deal, Honestly its WAY hard to find an s15 in california, especially one with taggs already!
most of the s15 guys here on zilvia are from the midwest and eastcoast.

Nothing is wrong with CE28's, but the fitment leaves something to be desired. Overall I'm just laughing at the price tag. The car is ok, but 30k for a car that can't even be driven hard is really ridiculous. Either way GLWS.
IMO if you made it run right you could get 16-20 maybe, but it still can't ever be registered in CA which sucks for 2/3 of this board, and that's to much to spend on a track car.

Why wouldn't you install the injectors, fuel pump, and fpr? Three of the easiest things to do. Seems fishy. 30k for a solid running Spec R would be too much, let alone one that "needs work"
OMG, the reason i hadnt installed the Fuel system yet was it was yet to arrive at my house for me to install. They got here today and its getting installed tomorrow, do people not read the posts?

Super clean, but way too much money for a car that could just get seized.
All you have to do is ask yourself one simple question. Why is it in Cali but registered in FL?
Cuz Florida is the easiest state to get illegal JDM cars registered in, still doesn't mean its Federalized. I live in Florida and have friend's that have all had Skylines, Soarers, and one S15. Truth is, they were all "Registered" not Federalized. After one of our friend's got his R32 seized, everyone else got spooked and sold their JDM cars.
It's basically like going to a Casino everytime you drive it around.
$30k is a hell of a gamble. If it get's seized, bye bye $30k for nothing. I wouldn't risk it.
For that you could get a Skyline or S15 from Canada for much cheaper and bring it across the border and have it "Registered", IF you REALLY wanted to do it. At least you wouldn't lose $30k on it.
If this car was "Federalized", aka legal nationwide with NHTSA and DOT approved with paperwork, than I'd say it's worth $30k. But that would be impossible since S15's were never submitted to the committee for proper legalization with crash test information or anything.
Clean car, GLWS, but buyer beware.

Telling him to keep his opinion to himself, when you are sharing yours right now is hypocritcal. KEEP YOUR OPINION TO YOURSELF, because in your opinion, he should keep his opinion to himself.

No one says what I HAVE to post, I LOVE what your selling, for that price it seems as if you're trying to show off that you have an S15 instead of realistically trying to sell it, wasting much of people who are interested in actually BUYING an S15's time. Guess how much cash I have to drop on an S15? Plenty, and I am interested in purchasing an S15, but for 30k...
Also, 30k asking price and my note is an OVER ANALYSIS of your modification list?

Damn T, you getting out of the Corps or something? After all the crap you went thru to get it stateside, cant believe you're trying to part with this thing.
I've known about this car while it was still in Okinawa...car was well taken care of and never abused.
For the price he had to pay to get this thing stateside, I can see why he's asking $30K.
Also, Military, car does not have to be registered in which ever state we are stationed at. It can be registered in our home states. I had my 240 registered in FL while I was in CA for 4 yrs.

^^im with him on this one^^
even though this is a awesome car and i would do almost anything to own a s15.. but with 25k you can get this
1999 SILVIA S15 RHD (http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/1660922313.html)thats a fully prepped race car buddy. cant compare the two at all. just let it be already, lol you guys are getting WAY too serious on this thread :drama:
All you have to do is ask yourself one simple question. Why is it in Cali but registered in FL?
Hmmm, I live in Cali but my cars are registered in North Carolina is that suspect as well? Have you ever been around a military town? It's normal to see plates from all the states.

Just saying.... WAY OVERPRICED
Heres 3 cars from the front page I would rather buy.
1/2 the price

1/3 the price

1/2 the price

Get real is all I'm saying..... I'd pay 13k tops for it as is.
coming from the AWD turbo side of things i can tell you if that evo has had a transfer case put in it 1 of 2 things could of happened... one of the previous owners driving it was a tool and drove it in snow mode on tarmac <---this will snap the input shaft, or he drove and launched the shit out of it fairly often especially if it only has 63K.... so my conclusion is your car analyzing skills blow alot. not to mention is has a downloadable flash tune on it, which really doesnt count as a tune.

Its not that im getting out, im going to the Drill Field to be a Drill Instructor, and with all the time its going to take away, when am i really going to be able to drive it, let alone give it the attention it deserves and enjoy it...
