grocery shopping service?

what do you think these guys make? i'm available during daylight hours and was thinking about putting up some signs or something, see if i could start a little business. maybe deliver in a few miles around my house, charge five bucks a delivery, scheduled to pay in cash in like a four hour window. think this would be worth the effort?

he said 5 bucks, just by looking at what u came up with u are allready losing money in my opinion. how u come up with 5 buck? is that a price u are willing to pay? ok so i see it like this customer calls u and they have a long list, first are u collecting cash from customer first? or after u purchase all the items? if after then u must pay that and then collect from the customer and hope they pay cash, if not u are screwed u might get a visa acredit card machine but their are fees for that 2 so u would have to pass it up to the customer. 2. how long is it going to take u to buy stuff? find things and what not. let just say there is long lines sometimes small lines , would time be a factor of price for u? what if it took u 30 min to go get something is 5 bucks worth it? and u still have to add cost for gas, vechile maintance. insurance. .. i say no... what do u do now?

You'd have to deliver to more than one house per run for it to be cost effective. Pea Pod charges $7 per delivery if your total is over $100.

You would have to make 2 deliveries in less than a hour to get over minimum wage. Factor in the amount of time to go to the store, look for the groceries, wait in line to purchase, drive to the house, and unload the shipment.
