hey guys, ive done some searching and came up empty handed! my car has been in a garage for the past 8 months it is an s14 with a sr20det redtop and i have started it about once a week mayb every 2 weeks just to keep it going! recently the entire radiator started getting extremely hot(so i dont think its clogged),the engine is so so, the powersteering fluid is boiling, and it is a bottom mount turbo and the cover becomes extremely hot as well! the mater temp gauge rises to about 160 and seems it will go higher so i am unsure if it my thermostat? i plan to ugrade to a nismo thermo anyway but anyone have any idea what it could be? a new radiator? please help

do you have working fans?

lol the turbo is gonna get hot due to the combustion gases

160* is normal for an Nismo Thermo, 175* is about normal for OEM if you get up to around 190-200* then you need to start worrying.

check or change you Rad cap

Make sure you dont have crap blocking the fins/airflow on the radiator as well as the condensor (if you still have it)

and make sure you bled the cooling system good and got the air bubble out.

did you put atf or power steering fluid in the system, i know nissan calls for atf(automatic trans fluid) it has something to do with the seals but iirc the atf also has a higher boiling point(alot of people also run a power steering cooler)

first things first do this stuff and get back to us.

when the car is running take the rad cap off and look for bubbles and flow.

what kinda fans? are the efans working?
