ok to start things off, i searched both here and on the internet. (A LOT) i found a thread on getting the cruise control to work on a s13 with a sr swap.
i got the cruise system to activate.
the problem i have is the the throttle body. the thread suggested swapping the throttle body to a ka unit that has the extra cam for the cruise. the tps and tps plug are different between my sr and ka's. what did people do on this? replace the tps connector? i really don't want to do that.
anyone have any other ideas?
thanks,
frankie

Yes, just swap the plugs, you may be able to unpin the wires from both style TPS clips and just swap the clip.

2 options
1. Depin it(not 100% sure if this would work)
2. Cut, Solder, Heat Shrink(100% sure this will work)

yeah i kind of went a little different route. in retrospect i probably wasted time. i'll explain in a min.
depinning and repinning won't work cause the pin size is different. so the connectors would need to be cut off and swapped. what i did was take fork connectors and cut one side off to fit in the sr harness plug. then crimped them on the wires to a tps plug i took from a junk harness i had laying around. then i took that epoxy that you knead th make set and basically made a connector to hold the wires. liquid electrical tape on the part of the connector that was still exposed along with the epoxy. used zip ties to hold the connector in and changed the throttle body. had to modify a ka throttle cable bracket.
i'll probably go back and cut the connector off and just put a ka tps connector on the sr harness. i didn't want to remove the connector in case, for who knows what reason, someone might want to put an sr throttle body back on later. after i finished, i realized that's probably never going to happen and i just wasted a lot of time.:smash:
but thanks guys. on to the next project. making the ac work! woo hoo!
