There is NO Thread dedicated to this yet... oddly! Help me Find the information and lets make this a (Sticky).

EVERYTHING for the S-chassis, KA, SR, RB... that can be replaced with an AN Fitting!

A easy method to convert AN size to fractional is to remember that each AN number represents 1/16".
For example: -8 AN = 8/16" = 1/2".

Great thread, anything can be adapted for AN use. Though I do not have pictures of most of my build I will add some info:

AN (Army-Navy) Fitting Thread Size Chart

AN Size------------Hose Size----------------Thread Size

-3------------------3/16-----------------3/8-24 SAE
-4------------------1/4------------------7/16-20 SAE
-6------------------3/8------------------9/16-18 SAE
-8------------------1/2------------------vvv3/4-16 SAE
-10-----------------5/8------------------7/8-14 SAE
-12-----------------3/4------------------1-1/16 SAE
-16-----------------1--------------------1-5/16 SAE
-20-----------------1-1/4----------------1-5/8 SAE

"NPT" (National Pipe Thread) Thread Size Chart

Pipe Thread--------Threads per Inch--------Inside Dia.
1/8------------------27------------------1/8
1/4------------------18------------------1/4
3/8------------------18------------------3/8
1/2------------------14------------------1/2
3/4------------------14------------------3/4
1------------------11-1/2----------------1

Another common mistake that people often tend to do is use teflon tape/piping tape/silicone/RTV. Please remember everyone, DO NOT USE IT ON AN FITTINGS! The seal is actually the tapered angle at the end or inside the fitting. Using any type of added sealant can make your AN fitting leaks by creating a gap in between the fittings.

Brakes:
1/8 NPT - 3AN
1/8 NPT - 4AN
The entire Brake System is 1/8 NPT - 3AN or -4AN. I have yet to find a 1/8 NPT Bump-O-Stop Adapter for the Master Cylinder!!

STEERING

High Pressure:
6 ft. of -6AN Hose of Choice
45 degree -6AN Hose Fitting of Choice
90 degree -6AN Hose Fitting of Choice
-6AN to 16mm x 1.5, AN to Metric fitting adapter
-6AN to 14mm x 1.5, AN to Metric fitting adapter
Comments: You only need about 1.1ft of the power steering hose.

Feed line (Reservoir to Pump):
6ft of -12AN Hose of Choice
-12AN Econ-O-Fit
Comments: I used 2ft of the hose because I relocated the reservoir. To make it look purdy, get two Econ-o-fit hose clamps. One goes to the reservoir and the other on the pump.

Low Pressure:
10 ft. of -8AN Hose of Choice
-8AN Econ-O-Fit
For the s13 chassis, you'll need two extra fittings. The s14 has a power steering cooler on the low pressure side, whereas the s13 is just a line going back to the reservoir. The cooler is just an aluminum tube that runs across the front of the subframe and back. The s14 can use a hose clamp (econ-o-fit) or whatever, but the s13 needs the following.
-8AN to 16mm x 1.5, AN to Metric fitting adapter
45 degree -8AN to -8AN
Comments: About 2-3ft of the hose was used. For the s14, you'll need two Econ-o-fit hose clamps. For the s13, you'll need only one. The other end uses the extra two fittings.

PLEASE - Only comment if you have information!!!!

FYI, that high pressure steering hose setup is for a s13 pump. s14 guys will have to get a different fitting.
