Ok so I picked up a rebuilt motor last month put it in and the motor is getting fuel compression but no spark the car has new plugs wires cap rotor ,is there anyway I could of put the dizzy in wrong ? I set it to tdc and slid the dizzy in cleaned all the ground and still nothing any tips would help thanks

check and make sure you spark plugs are in the correct order on the distributor , make sure your coil is working( on the driver side next to the air filter) , check all your wires leading to the coil and also check your mafs.

Even if the order was off it would still spark

you are correct sir. even if the firing order is off, you should still be getting spark

| 1 2 | is how your cap should look, firing order is 1-3-4-2
| 3 4 |
make sure your distributor is getting power and ground on the 2 pin grey plug, black/red should be key ON power.
s14's have the coil's built into the distributor, you could manually give the coil power and ground and if you get no spark then you know the coil is bad, then either A replace the coil....or B replace the whole distributor, whichever's easier for you to accomplish. obviously the goal is to TEST before throwing parts at the thing tho.
