f*ck SR.
learn on the KA and save your money
tires are not cheap
broken parts are not cheap
totalled cars are not cheap

you WILL spend a grip on tires
you MAY (and eventually WILL) total/seriously damage your car

this is NOT initial D

good setup: a good driver

keiichi, orido, etc etc, can drift 100% stock cars!
why? they hvae SKLL.

best setup is driver. simple as that.

I was tryin to figure what whould work out best for durablility, anything that could help the car keep some of its longevity, from the abuse of drifting.

replace all bushings or replace all suspension arms.

cost: near 2K. aftermarket arms are very pricey. :)

who says drifting is cheap?

if you are on a budget, replace all the bushings.

Get to know your car before doing any mods. Learn skill, like he said you are going to crash and you are going to break parts. Learn on the car stock, as parts break or wear you learn what needs to be upgraded and then will feel the difference the parts make. It'll teach you not only what parts to buy but why you are buying them and how they affect performance/driving. Skill is your best investment, save you money now for all the mistakes you will be making learning;)

yah kouki ka-t is on the ball

i should be more clear

replace the bushings that need it first...basic maintenance is KEY. most morons buy a 240sx and go balls out w/ it on the first day and wonder why it handles like crap and they arent the next drift king

basic maintenace FIRST
then start to slowly upgrade as your skills improve

enventually you'll have a pretty well rounded suspension.
then upgrade engine, power.
then small things

of course basic maintenance is still the primary focus!

thanks for the enlightenment, i just have one last ? is at least some suspension stiffing a good idea and is lsd a must or can i get away with out it?

you CNA get away w/o a lsd for some time
but as alex chang found out at d1 driver search you will DEFINATELY need a LSd eventually. VLSD works great too but clutch, imho is best...that's like nismo, kaaz, tomei, ats etc etc..price: 1K or more sometimes depends on brand

suspension stiffening
coilovers
sway bars
do-luck parts (rxb, flb, flb, rlb..etc)
roll cage
stbs
nams bars..

and so on and so forth

as i said

AS YOU IMPROVE, upgrade your car (meaning upgrade/add suspension stiffening/tuning)
