How hard is it to convert the front to the 97-98 jap spec style front? Are there any places that sell a kit for this? the front of mine is wrecked so i gotta get everything. If you have any good ideas...like a skyline front end...share em!

That's quite an undertaking, but it sounds like you may need everything anyway.  Someone check me if I'm wrong, but I believe to go with the shark eye you will need:  fenders, hood, bumper, lights, grill, and radiator support.  Only the bumper and grill are JDM only parts - although many companies make grills and bumper upgrades that would be a nice addition.  This is the same stuff that is needed to go S15 (*rant* which I don't think matches the lines of the S14 and looks like ass *rant*).  I also think that the R32 Skyline bolts up using the same parts.  Cheapest is obviously return to boring S14 using junkyard parts.  Newer S14 is more expensive due to rarity.  Then the S15 kit.  And no doubt getting the Skyline parts would cost a pretty penny.

Thanx alot hippo. Might just have to go back to the boring ol 95-96 look. Still bad ass though if you are a fan of the 240 in general. I like the Bomex kit but i dont like the way you have to go with the $200 front bumper lamps.
btw...who makes really good cf hoods for the 240?

I've seen a couple of people put an R32 front bumper on the 97 s-14 and it looks pretty sweet. I don't like many of the aftermarket bumper kits for my car (97). Bomex makes an alright one, but it's stil a little too busy for my tastes. I like the stock chin spoiler look, but I doubt it gives much downforce. What do I know?

Downforce??  How much racing do you intend on doing?  Unless you are running SERIOUS horsepower, and/or running at top speed, NOTHING gives much downforce.  Possibly a couple pounds here or there, but it is all unnecessary.  ####, the SE stock spoiler is about a foot to short to even hit the air stream off the roof.  Watch a areodynamic test video.
This all ties in with that ram-air crap on Firebirds.  At 85 mph, and ONLY 85mph, does the ram air even BEGIN to give a 1psi boost.
Body kits are for looks.

body kits are also an easy way to waste money that could be spent on go-fast stuff

Big Carbon, I don't want to sound rude, but why did you buy the 95-96 240SX if you think it's so old and boring?

I think it looks awesome. But eyelids look really awesome (No one makes them, so you gotta get a piece of vinyl cut out, I'm sure most of you guys already know/have that).

Jun makes an eyebrow - but that cuts down on your headlights ability to light the way.  BTW: I saw an ad for a Nismo bumper and grill kit that looked very near stock, but improved the lines considerably.  I agree that most bumpers tend toward overkill on the S14, but a center simple center grill (like Jun's) will do a LOT to freshen the front of the car.

Just creative writing. I dont think its so old and boring sechick. Didnt mean to make it sound like that. Just looking to make it a little different than it is right now cause right now its all crunched. Another grill does the trick to make it look alot better. And as for eyelids my friend works at a body shop and made some out of bondo for his from some accord ones. They were hella tight!

Does anyone have some pics of those S14's with the R32 front bumper? I'd love to see that!
