so do they secure to the roof by using straps that run on the inside through the windows and against the headliner?

<- would really like to know, and if it will work for a surfboard ill buy one this friday...car is a 91 coupe

What it looked like on my s14, had to modify the brackets a little for a better grip but worked fine and looked good, would be sick with the fairing.
