have 30mm calipers aluminium but dunno from what year of z32.i rebuild most of the parts such pins, springs, clips, shims, shim clips, seals, pistons etc all from westcovina nissan.
i tried to put autozone pads without shims and clips they were okay, just the gap between pads and caliper wall very small, after i installed shims and clips (pic 3 shown only clips),clips hitting the caliper wall and leave marks (last pic) because only small gap left. i really confused which pads should i use?? from what year of z32
any help will appreciated.i will post pics of the calipers so u can check it out and help me.
o one more please if u dont have something good to say please dont post bc i've tried to search already but find none thanks

generic pads from aftermarket companys can only come close to specs but never really dead on. thats why they supply that yellow goo or grease. since u rebuilt your calipers and im guessing u dont do any racing since u got low status pads just get oem spec from nissan.

generic lowgrade pads are multifunction and can be cross referenced to other cars which are similar but not the same if you know what i mean.

okay i think im fucked. i just tried with magnet and its good to know that they are alumunium but after i measured that i found out i have 26mm according to iROYAL. i bought from zilvia member few months ago and he said that this were 30mm.
i bought everything from west covina nissan except the pads bc i have credits on autozone so might as well use it yay free pads. i really dont know what to do bc i have all the set up for 30mm.

from what i read the pads should all be the same the only difference between the 26mm and 30mm is the thickness of the opening where the rotors fits in, in a couple threads people in ur situation usually take a grinder and take off a few mm off each side since the difference is only 5mm

really..do u think that way pretty safe? bc i dont want to mess with them since they are big thing about safety.but i tried to put in 30mm rotors and they fit in it...confused

personally ive never seen it before only read about it but i was considering doing that to my calipers after my 26mm wear out, from ur pic the opening is looks like its 3cm which is 30mm? which means u should use a 26mm rotor, the 30mm calipers uses rotors 30mm rotors but the opening is 35mm
