Bone stock KA24de, with about 15k on it.It always made a slight noise when cold but has started to get worse and worse i'm not driving it anymore till i resolve it.

Tonight I took the valve cover off, to inspect valve clearances, all of them were pretty close to spec, but some were real tight.

FSM states .012-.015 on intake side and .013-.016 on the exhaust.

The front exhaust cams were about .010, would this cause the noise in the video?

When it warms up, the noise goes almost completely away. The noise is only made when rpms are going down from a rev. And the timing guides guides are also removed. It doesnt sound like a rod knock, its up high in the engine.

whats your oil pressure @??? Most of the time is lack of oil pressure or thick oil/dirty. If your oil pressure is fine then look into the chain tensioner. if all that easy stuff fails look into adjusting your valve clearence.

have not checked oil pressure yet, but underneath the valve cover it is clean, no crud, sludge or little trolls chillin in there .

sounds like the chain. Have you removed the top guide?
