My 180 8 u

My sister has a 89 coupe with a ka24e with high miles. The problem its having is that in the morning it takes about one full 3 to 4 second crank before it will start. Some times I don’t feel like forcing it so I will try to start it for about a second and stop and wait 10 seconds to not damage the starter, then I go to start it up again and its starts right away. I always step on the gas to help it from bogging out. Some time once I have been driving it around it will even rev up to like 2k RPM (happens not that often) and I have to give it some gas to make it come back down to 750 RPM. The motor light just recently started coming on and off for periods at a time ( but it would do this before the engine light ever came on). As the motor reaches normal operating temperature, the faster it will start. I have changed the distributor rotor (not the cap), changed the spark plug. I don’t hear a noise when I turn my ignition on from the fuel pump. There is a small leak of gas from the one of the seals on one injector but only of I move it side to side. I cleaned the MAF. I even have 8g. Copper wire from the block and intake manifold to the fire wall. Any help is highly appreciated.
