SVR battery r0x j00!

Ok im running a dry cell deep cycle car battery which i installed in feburary of this year...6 months later im already having trouble starting my car. I have to jump the mofo everyday to get it started. Where as my friend's battery is still going strong for 14 years now!Yeap deep cycle dry cell batteries can last ya that long! Problem is these suckers aint cheap...mine cost me $96 shipped. Anyways...so i call up SVR saying that my battery is dying already in 6 months....here's the convo

"this is jason how can i help you?"

"yeah i'm having problems with SVR 31-12...i have to jump it everyday to get it started and i bought it in feb."

"hmmm what kinda of car do you have sir?"

"i have 98 nissan 240sx"

"what is the stock factory battery rating on your nissan sir?"

"uh that i dont know...i swapped in the japanese engine..."

"hmm did you order the battery from us sir?"

"yes i did"

"can you please hold while i look you up." on hold for 30 sec

"im sending out a free replacement battery sir..."

"oh AWESOME!"

"uh you guys need me to send the old one back?"

"sure whenever you have time i wanna take a look at your old battery"

"have a great day sir!"

Knowing that i swapped out a non US factory spec engine he decided to send me another battery...that is what i call going above and beyond! Here is some info about SVR!!

14 year's is just amazing, is there any maintenance you need to perform on the battery?

This probably sounds basic, but I thought I'd throw it out there-- Did you check your alternator?
That aside, where'd you pick this up? I've been looking for a dry-cell for a while now, and it's either this or an optima. :)

i picked up the battery from SVR's website and there is really no maintence required on dry cell batteries

I have an optima, I love it. NO maintenance, and no way it can ever spill out. It looks trick in the engine bay too. lol

Anyways, I would probably go with the slim SVR battery now though. Since it would be easier to run IC piping around it.
