I have a neo rb25det s13 and i need to get emission test by the end of next month but i wont pass because i dont have either one of them. question is which one i should go for? i did some research and im kind of confused about which one to get . because i heard high flow cat isnt strong enough or something for turbo-charged cars and i also heard you cant pass emission with test pipes. oh and also what kind of test pipe/cat should i get? need help thanks!

Get a 3" Catco high flow and be done with it.

Do you even know what the hell a test pipe is? If you have to ask if having one will help you pass emissions...then you dont know what the fuck your talking about. A test pipe is definitely NOT A CATALYTIC CONVERTER.

Did you even bother trying to Google what I just fed you? If it was shitty then why would I tell you to get one?

google will show you the way..
also you might not pass smog with a high flow catco.
by the way a test pip is a straight through pipe will not help you pass smog at all

Yeah....dude test pipe = just an empty tube. Give the catco cat a try. It's worked on an FC turbo I had, and my buddy's S13. If that fails get an safc and lean it out as much as possible for the test. Or even try the alcohol trick. You can google that. I'm not gonna explain.

My catco exploded the other day, leaving the insides stuck in my exhaust. First problem I've had with Catco though.

any general aftermarket cat should do. i had a generic one put on my RHD S14 Silvia with an S14 SR and passed WA State emissions just fine with it on, accompanied by a Circuit Sports 3" flex downpipe and Apexi GT Spec exhaust.
then, once i passed and got my vehicle tabs, i threw on the test pipe. i currently run that setup still here in FL where emissions were abolished at the turn of the century.

Correct me if I am wrong, but won't leaning it out cause your NOx to go up?

Ideally you'd want 14.7:1 for the best emissions.
