Okay I did a search but not finding any help.

I just finished upgrading my rear brakes to the Q45 setup. I already have the Q45 fronts and a 17/16 BMC.

Everything worked fine before the rear upgrade, but now that I've bled the rears they won't disengage after I release the pedal! The calipers are both re-manufactured with fresh internals, and I've got brand new rotors with pads. Everything is greased with syl-glide, including the caliper slider pins.

What could be the problem? Maybe I need to adjust the brake pedal further out? I can feel about 1/4" free play in the pedal before it engages.

Any thoughts?

so the brake pedal does not return (needs more bleeding)
or
the pistons in the caliper don't release?
or
the caliper don't release because of ebrake cable?

1/4inch for free play? sounds like air in the system, check for leaks if they are used calipers.

nevermind, I found the problem.

I had the e-brake pad mounting bracket tweaked so the the backside of the rotor was caught on it, so that when the tire was on, the car wouldn't move.

Thanks though, works fine now!!
