I have a 89 coupe that I recently bought. the car takes about 5 mins to start up and run and im getting tired of it.can someone please let me know what this problem might be.I crank the car about 4 times and have to give it gas in order to start up.once its on the car runs with no prob.currently the car has no antifreeze and no thermostat.I was told that that might b the problem.but to me it seems like if it could be sum thing to do with fuel because I have to give it gas to start up.can someone please help me out . thanks

First off...

Why are you starting a car with no coolant or thermostate?

Second...

Do a tune up on the car, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, FUEL FILTER, check your fuel pressure, run a higher octane gas for a few tanks with some fuel system cleaner...
