Does my 98 se have a low fuel light??

My '98 didn't come with a manual and I was wondering if there is a light to indicate low fuel...if so, what amount of fuel is left when it comes on?? Thanks to anyone who looks in their manual for this info!

i think all 240sx's have a low fuel light. i'm not sure but im guessing its about 2 gallons left when it lights up.

lol, I'm always afraid to see if my light is working. So I end up refilling before it gets that low.

I've gone (I was testing it...lol) about 40 miles with the light on! It was actually quite fun! Anyway don't worry when it pops on.....:D

Ummmmmmmmmm , yeah. Don't drive to find out how long that light lasts. Every bit of **** in your gas from when you pump just went into your filter and probably semi-clogged the flow. gg.

Mine used to work... now it doesn't. I've been stranded twice already. Maybe I broke a wire when I installed the walbro, i dunno.

Hey man... I have 1998 SE (white gauge) and it does indeed have a gas light... I see it all too often because I'm too damn poor to buy gas!

Good to know...hey, do you think you can look in the manual and see if it says the amount of fuel left when the light comes on...I'm guessing a gallon.

Ryan, hell no! My gas light comes on at about 320 ~ 330 left... I've driven it to at least 360 before and still filled up a gallon in my tank. (Assuming the capacity is actually 17.4) there is probably I'd say about 3~4 gallons left when it comes on. One gallon left is an emergency... even my cheap-*** has never put more than 16.6 gallons in before. Although when I start taking sharp corners the car kinda sputters (should I actually be admitting this?) Maybe I should sell my car so I can afoard gas!

Today i filled up after 405 miles on the trip odometer...at the pump I put in about 16.1 gallons. I really hope my light is not broken.

all 240sxs have a low fuel level indicator light. yours may not be functioning due to a variety of reasons. do some research and figure out what the problem (if any) is.

I wasn't sure if my '95 had one, I've been too paranoid to lett get that low. I hit 310 miles to a tank once and the needle was touchin the E line, but no light. I then realize when I'm filling up, my pump tops off at like 14 gallons, which obviously means I could've driven a little bit longer. I'm just too chicken to test the light I guess.
