Swapped the SR in, changed lower harness at the same time, mine was fucked up.
Started car right up, cool, let it warm up and stuff, take the key out.
ON.
It stumbled a little bit but i had to kill it myself.
so basically, the ECU is still getting power the little lights like battery, seatbelt, etc stay on.
When i pull the engine control fuse, it shuts off like normal.
I can turn power on then turn power off.
put the engine control fuse back in, same problem.
PLEASE HELP........

you have 3 power wires that are not hooked up correctly so your (ECU) relay definitely is the first problem.
I know that was my problem. Jeff fixed it. No more ecu relay, now my swap is turn key.

^^^ try It and also check your chassis harness that's Inside the wheel well. when mine got rubbed out and wires crossed. My car wouldn't turn off. head lights were going up and down constantly, when I would push In my clutch peddle It would activate my starter. :rl::rl:.

might be your fuel pump, we had to hardwire a direct 14v into mine to stop the fuel cut and the only way to turn it off was by putting it in gear and pulling off the clutch, so we wired in a relay system and that fixed it

Talked to Nieko a couple times today, he also reported a relay buzz when turning the key to off ~ this means something is pulling power through the ECU relay coil, not allowing it to close.
It'll be taken care of tonight probably, hopefully without me having to go down to Westminster before Sat's event. With a new motor, he's GOT to drive this weekend!

sounds like bad power or dround wiring during the swap... or bad ecu

most likely it's the wrong lower harness. the problem is the wiring in the maroon 8 pin plug at the fuse box. ^^

yeah but when you wire the black/red ignition switch power supply to the black/white ecu ignition relay power wires your ecu also doesn't hold memory and has to relearn every time you start your car, yes it works but the problem is your ecu, not the relay.
yes it works.....but is not the best fix....may be the cheapest fix...but you get what i'm saying.
when you get a power fc and it won't remember any of your settings you'll know why.....but when you get a power fc, that will replace your "bad" ecu, but you can put it back to how it's supposed to be, run a relay, and then it will hold memory and work correctly.
relays are your friend. they take the brunt, increase the life of switchs, motors, solenoids, and computers.

check your wiring mainly the brown plug in your engine bay make sure the
colors on the other side of the harness match up to your chassis harness!

Couldn't agree more! Om1kron wasn't saying that I wired everything directly to his ignition switch, just that I rewired his ignition relay :)
I talked to Nieko last night and he said he got it fixed, hoping to see it tonight at the 626 meet!

Are you talking about the harness by the passenger side headlight because when i shut my car off it doesnt hold memory at all. actually once i shut it off everything turns off: clock, seats belts dont move (s13) etc. I didnt do my wiring btw.

+1 my buddies car ate through that harness and he'd have to press his cruise control to turn off the car. It was pretty funny.

not to thread jack, but to answer your question, yes and no. those two wires do run to where you speak, they also run to the relay box and the ecu, so this "jumper" can be done anywhere in between, such as where you mentioned.
yeah, you have wiring issues no doubt. it all can be fixed. i can fix any wiring problem except engine bay fires.....then you need a new harness....but sometimes the time it would take to fix a really fubar harness ends up being the same and less of a headache than just getting another one.
you on the other have more than one bad wire going somewhere it shouldn't.
if it's driving you crazy you could mail me the engine harness, i could go over that and fix any problems with that, then if you still have issues or it checks out ok, you can take off the body harness and i could check/fix that as well.
next week i've got a SR in a 350z to do, with working guages and ac ftw :)

my car was doing the same thing. The relay is sticking.
The brown relay behind the interior fuse box is the one im talking about.
if you tap it, it should turn off. meaning you need a new one.

Alright guys, so i bought the SR harness from some guy on the forum.
I guess re wired some things wrong over by the fuse box with that brown plug.
Dont remember exactly what, something with AC relays and the ECU relays and stuff.
But i looked at a wiring diagram and new it was fucked, so i moved some wires around, and all is good :)
