Alright I have this weird problem and was starting to lean toward the turbo being bad so I took off the intake and spun the turbo by hand spins freely minimal shaft play back and forth. 0 up or down. Started the car with the intake off knowing that if my exhaust wheel was gone it wouldnt spin but sure enough it spun. Had some boost leaks that I had thought were my problem but have them takin care off just one very small leak right now wating on a new tclamp to fix it stripped mine out. Had posted this vid a few days ago but deleted it thinking I had fixed it when I fixed the leaks but it didnt.
A little history on the motor to I used to have it in my 13 and towards the end of that car it felt like somthing was holding me back big time. Just put it in my 14 and this is what Im dealing with. new tps set to .5v a ct. New maf and tried a bunch of stuff off my buddies rb20 o ya frogot to mention what motor it was well this is my rb20 with rb25 turbo and 20 wastgate witch is closed all the way checked.
And ignore the bad grammer Im just a simpleton :wan:. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Notice how if I slowly open the throttle it builds boost and revs but if I open fast my intake makes like a gasp sound. And I think but not positive when it makes the gasp sound it also sounds like all my injectors stop clicking.

Your turbo is definately not shoot but it possibly could be shot......

re-adjust the tps closed voltage and take all the slack out of the throttle cable. you have two much voltage before the throttle plate is actually open. G/L

Alright so I think I have an idea on whats going on now. I finnaly went to ace and picked up some supplys to make a fuel gauge. My question now is this ghetto rigged fuel gauge I made should read accurate correct if so. I had some intersting results my fuel psi was jumping between 10 and 20 or so with the fpr all the way open and a walbro 255 pump feeding the fuel. And the gauge is an air gauge not oil filled but that only keeps the needle from moving correct, the air gauge should be giving me the right reading correct.

eh?

What do mean the fpr was all the way open?
Adjust it so it reads 43psi with the vacuum disconnected.

Adjusted so that the max is flowing through it is what i meant by all the way open sorry. And I know its supposed to be at or around 43 but its not going over 20.
Could the low pressure be caused because of me reusing the stock sock on the walbor instead of getting the 97-9? prelude kit. And its also on about a quater of a tank if that matters.

Also new 300zx tt filter.

You still need to be a little more clear.
You want more pressure so you want LESS flow out of the FPR.
On my aeromotive and nismo FPR I've had, the adjustment bolts are tightened to increase pressure.

My bad I suck at explaining stuff. If it tightened the fpr down the pressure stays at around 20 till I hit a point and the lines would pulse real bad and pressure would drop to 0/motor die.
