Is it true that the stock oil pressure switch on S13 is only for oil pressure check? I just checked FSM (LC-3 & LC-4). It seems like the oil pressure switch is for plugging the hole only, and it doesn't connect to the ECU.

Actually, what does the stock oil pressure switch do?

In this thread How-to: Install an Oil Pressure Sensor: 240SX Forum / 180SX Forum / Silvia Forum: Nissan Forums / Infiniti Forums - NICOclub (http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/275181), once you disconnect the green wire from the stock oil pressure switch (2nd picture in the thread), where do you connect it back to?

My setup: http://zilvia.net/f/engine-tech/275286-ka-t-s15-gt28r-turbo-setup-complete-list.html

Thanks!

It kicks on the low oil light in the dash if the pressure drops to much.Just run a gauge and don't worry about it.Just make sure to plug the hole.

So does the wire go back to ECU and then to cluster or just directly to cluster? After I installed an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, do I need to connect the wire somewhere? If not, will I get the warning light in the cluster?

We've discussed this for years.

The shit is useless. It does nothing but trip the light at 8psi. Which at any engine speed other than hot idle means a shredded bearing.
