Hello all, I am new here, I have a s14 with a SR20DET running a Haltech platinum Sport 2000, I am a Haltech dealer, so If anyone needs any tech support on haltech stuff I'm here to help.
I have just put all solid Energy Suspension bushings on the entire car, car feels new again except it is making a banging sound from the axle, its extremely loud, (just like the vid in the link, but louder) I have tried replacing the spring in the axle with a stiffer one but its not much better.

I am searching for a fix for this sound, if it can be stopped without replacing the axles thats perfect, the noise is coming from the outer tripod where there isn't a spring. The spline count on the axle that fits into the outer tripod is 27 and on the cup that fits into the outer hub is 29, I thought about converting the tripod to a cv I searched and found a cv with the correct spline count from a nissan maxima but even though its the correct inner spline count the hole is bigger so it wont work. If anyone has anymore info on the option of stopping the noise without swapping the axles please let me know.
I have also looked at changing the axles to the cv type found on the z32 r32, r33, q45 etc. I am willing to do so but I have found no solid info anywhere of exactly what to use. My car still has the r200 diff and 2x3 stub axles, if I have to change the axles to stop the sound, I would like to use the strongest setup possible while keeping the r200.
The Short Question is: Which axles and stub axles and outer hubs (if needed) do I use if using the 6x1 or 5x1 axles with a 29 spline r200v?
