Hey
2 things tonight...

1) Did the 93 240 come with a security alarm from the factory? If so, did it have a blinking red light and where was it?

(read: If you were to install one where would you put it?)

2) Did the 93 model have fog lights and where were they?

Has anyone installed fog lights in the airdam under the bumper and hows it look?

the key to an alarm (the brain at least) is putting it where it wont be easliy found. dont hide it in the stock location, anybody can go to the bookstore, browse through a chiltons and see where your system is. be creative.

for the time being im not putting an alarm in. I plan to buy one at some point, I just started a new bartending job so I will be starting to have my car parked downtown late at night...

all I have for now is a blinking red light and I need suggestions where to put it in the car.

I will get an alarm but I wont get a great deal of comfort from it..the way I see it, if someone wants your car or whats inside, theyll have it. I live in a sort of small city so there arent too many career car theifs and an alarm might be beneficial.

But think about it, when you hear an alarm go off, you dont think twice about it, so I dont think they will do too much good..

decides the blnky light was like 5 bucks.

well, put the light somewhere in the center console above the heating controls where it can be seen from both the passenger and driver side. i havent looked in my s13 in a while,so im not quite sure, but im sure there is some type of fake button you can use( for example, th AC button if you dont have ac) you need to make sure its in a place to ward of a potential thief, but not so bright and bold it attracts attention

i remember i used to hit the local mall a lot, walking through the lot i would walk past a car and the alarm would say some STAND BACK type crap, yeah, we just HAD to set it off, it basically asked for it
