i just picked up an s14 with an s14 sr20det blacktop. it seems to look like a slight oil leak where the fitting is tapped into the block. should i worry about this or would this be ok? the oil leak is so small that it doesn't drip oil on the concrete under the car. thanks....and i did do a search and only one thing came up about retapping the block, which is something i dont want to do. any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have used teflon paste and that crap starts to leak/seep after one season. It has been too shitty in Iowa this winter for me to even think about working on the car. Depressing. BUT when I muster up the motivation to get out there, I am going to replace all of the sealant on the fittings with loctite.

it's been really shitty weather here in florida as well. usually is starting to get warm about this time of year but it's still cold, but nothing compared to what you have to deal with in iowa

OMG We aren't even used to getting what we have been through this year. We have received almost twice the average snowfall for a year and we have another solid month of snow ahead (shattered the record by over a foot, so far...). I even have a semi-heated garage, but have no motivation to go out there yet.
