Here's the deal, I bought a 98' kouki about 3 months ago and have had some serious issues with it. The car has had a 5 speed swap done before I got it and I have fixed most of the issues.

However the problem now is that I have the engine cranking up, but there is no SPARK, the car is getting fuel but i cannot get spark...

I have replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor, distributor cap, rotor.

I have also checked all the grounds and even took my ecu out of the car and tried it in another s14 and it worked with no problems.

If anyone could help me that would be great...I think it might be something with the engine harness...but im not sure...

i dont think it has a coil since its an s14...i believe only s13's have coils...but i did check the power transducer and the resistor and it was all getting 2.2 ohms and i guess thats what its supposed to be at...but all the wires are getting power from ignition, it is just not starting...aaaaarrrrhhhh NO SPARK!!! i hate this

need help?

S14's have a coil inside of the distributor.

how do you check if that is working if it is inside the distributor...I replaced the distributor with my friends from his s14 and still nothing

Are there any splices in your harness or possible shorts?

i think you bout a defective distridutor .the coil pack that is built into the distributor gets a signal from the camshaft positioning sencer ,witch is also built into the distributor . so if i were u , i would check the conecters that conect to the distributor, and make shure there is no corosion first . if conectors are good change that distributor . good luck
