how good are the stock silvia's rear sway bars... they seem to be way thicker than the us oem ones... does any one kno the mm of the rear silvia sway bar? how are they compared to whiteline sway bars?

The JDM sways are the same as HICAS sways. I have a HICAS 240 and I still feel the need to upgrade to whitelines. Hope that helped;)

jdm sway bars rock
i feel NO NEED to upgrade. 8/6 kg spring rates too on coilovers so that's the biggest reason
if i had a shock/spring combo, i would upgrade
most drifters (in japan-even pro ones) DO NOT upgrade sway bars...

I thought you were thinkin about hookin up some Largus anti-roll bars for your beast?
I got some whiteline anti-roll bars yesterday, putting them on this weekend (hopefully). We'll see if they make a noticable improvement or not. I hadn't really felt the need to get them, but found them cheap, so I figured "what the hell" ..
I'll post a reveiw soon.

S13 sway bars:
'89-'90 base: 24mm front, 15mm rear
'89-'90 sport package: 25mm front, 17mm rear
'91-'93 base: 25mm front, 15mm rear
'91-'93 HICAS, "JDM": 25mm front, 21mm rear
Whiteline adjustable: 27mm front (adjustable to feel like 29mm), 20mm rear (adjustable to feel like 22mm)
However whiteline bars are solid vs. hollow stock, and they come equipped with poly bushings.
I went with the HICAS bars for my '90 base. I haven't installed them yet, when I do I'm going to use poly bushings in the D-bars and endlinks.
