Waaay back in Feb. of this year i ordered a s13 clip from a supposedly reputable/ reliable importer of jdm (nissan engines). I was told upon purchase that the clip should arrive in 30-45 i assumed business days from purchase. Nearly 80 days later (mid June) i have no engine, after a series of calls (less than the harrassing amount considering the time span) i have less than a reassurance from the co. other than "it is stateside" concerning the engine. Almost 80 days and nothing. They have no tracking # nothing, no contact with the shipping co. whatsoever. What would u do? I've contiplated getting my money back (quite a few times) and the only reason i haven't is because i rather have an engine (and if possible get some money off install) since i've waited this long. On the flip side i'm like f*ckem gimme my engine or my money i won't be dealing with u anymore or recommending anyone else deal with u ever. I won't name the importer but i will say it's an east coast company and i'm not the first to complain.

in all seriousness, GET YOUR MONEY BACK!

Get the motor from somewhere else. Man, if its taking them this long to send ur engine, how do you know that the engine is going to arrive(when it finally does) in good condition. How do you know the engine is still strong, runs good, etc. Judging by their service, I wouldn't trust their engines to be in good condition as well.

just my four cents..

This is easy. Call their buff.

\
They said 30-45 days and had your money the whole time. Demand action. Do it nicely...if you are young, can you pretend to lower your voice like a DJ and talk professionally over the phone?

Vocabulary means something. Hey dude, PM me, I will call them for you and let them know that I want some action or a prompt refund. Cats in the biz should know better. I did a search and can go right now and have a whole clip in my garage by Monday next week...honestly...and could anywhere in the 48.

How much you pay if you do not mind me asking?

I saw 2 clips this week for around 2K for an SR20DET fully wired with pictures...and drive shaft.

I am not even in the damn buisness!!! LOL

If I can help, give me the numbers, I promise nothing but a shake up where answers will be answered. Hey, I deal with big buisness all the time for a living. Easy when you have the stamina and would I charge you??? hell no......so ask me if you need help.

Just PM the info. I can find out things really easy.

It is called being a liason.

(lee a shon) for those that need to know how it is pronounced..

thanks for the heads up, even though we don't know who they are. before you purchase, always check if anyone issued a complaint with the bbb.org or the attorney general's office of their state. then start checking local authorities and so forth. if only C.O.D. was an option...

i always check that and their physical addresses, supervisors name, business phone number, and if they have a business or re-seller license.

i like that bill, call their BUFF!...LOL
sorry man, had to

I don't recommend getting engines from Venus unless you can physically go down there and check them out.

Righto!

I saw a bunch of stuff missing from just the pictures. Looks like they start scamming hoses and stuff early...non-complete.

But, they do have the engine.

Exactly, see before you buy.

Yes Unstable Hybrids is the guilty party. I didn't expect this from them either that is why i've given them the time i've given them. I really wanted that clip but o well next project. Next time i'll order a engine from someone who has one in stock. Not to say that they're a horrible company 2 deal with, but their cust. service skills suck. They don't really answer your calls so therefore it's hard to b patient with people like that. I didn't call Venus because of [email protected] like this by the way.

Its like this, you get big, you get big in the britches (if you ever heard that Southern saying) and being big in the britches means cocky, and you will die a slow and painful death.

Seen it in all businesses really.

It will always continue to be this way due to being cocky and immature.

Any business needs to be greatful for anything they have on order to make a buck...but that is not the way it is unfortunantly./

well people , while I can agree with your setiments there is something you guys should know. %90 percent of all JDM Imports come thru the west coast i.e. port of Los Angeles , port of Oakland and port of Seattle. Fact is due to that port lockout by the port owners locking out the longshoreman last fall shipping as been messed up. Another thing that is going on too is that even since George W declared war on Iraq customs has been swarming all over the port ripping open all the containers. Every single JDM parts company I know of In Southern California is either short on parts or has stuff on backorder. Due to their containers being stuck on the docks in customs as I speak.
Kyoyo radiators are out of stock( or I would have one in my car right now:( ) All the socal engine importers containers are sitting on the docks. Its a mess right now. There is a strong chance that USH has a container with your CA stuck in customs . Now If I were you I would ask them if thats the problem. Then its up to you to decide if you want to wait or ask for a refund . I am sure they will give you a refund if you ask.

Actually, the port of entry started getting tighter around March. So if Unstable Hybrids were expecting their shipment by late March, I'm sure its stuck there too along with the other importer's containers.

Guys i live less than 20 min from venus auto... when i go.. want me to take pictures of the engines so you can see my pics and judge for yourselves? then you could order over the phone and just tell em the number of the engine and it will be all good! sound like a plan?

I'm not trashing USH at all but if that were the case they should've explained that 2 me along time ago (the professional thing 2 do) instead of dodging me. I am very aware of the port situation in Cali and that is why i have been patient, but 80 DAYS come on! No tracking numbers knowone to call??? Another thing, since Feb (when i ordered my motor by the way) they have gotten in a number of motors since (according to one of the techs) so explain my case. Thats all i'm sayin, don't leave me hanging be [email protected] professional!
