Aren't they in singapore or thailand? With shipping and all that stuff, wouldn't it be the same amount as if you were to go to LA and get a clip from a shop. I mean you'll get it right away and wouldn't have to wait forever.
Try the search, I know there has been some complains about them before.

580 bucks shipping for a motor in the 48 states. So not that much more than a regular place. But I think they are located in the US anyway, not sure though.

go there, and search. They got TONS and i mean TONS of info about flashoptions. So far, most people WILL NOT buy from them.
ANd they're based in Malaysia, and soon to have a branch in Atlanta, GA. THat was the last thing I've heard about them. If you find anything new, post here, I'd like to know whats going on with FLASHOPTIONS

if you find bad info, check out Venus Automotive (http://www.venus-auto.com/) . they have good seller ratings, hell the production crew for 2f2f the movie used them for engines and parts.

I have mixed feelings about them. I have no worries about not recieving my clip, but it's taken quite a while longer than they said it would, and they can be somewhat hard to reach. I believe if they're going to have a brance in Atlanta, then their service will be much better. At this point, I suppose i'd just say that if you need your clip right away, go someplace else. If you don't mind having to wait a while and go through a little bit of trouble to get it, you can save some major cash with flashoptions.com

WARNING : do not go flashoptions
MY engine is from flashoptions, so far everything is ok but it took 4 months to get the engine.... and it didnt even come complete... they forgot all my intercooling pipeing and fan shrould... also sent me a f-uped ECU.. My engine has alotta rust on it and its badly oxidized... from what it looks like its been sitting out in the junkyard for a LONG time...
Here are the pics.

Once again... i learned a lesson... the cheap route isnt always the best way to go..... I would go with afterdark tuning or heavy throttle. I havnt heard anything bad about them yet...
Good luck

Looks like you just got a motorset... Generally it's a good idea to go with a whole clip. You said the engine was rusty all over? By those pics, I don't see anything bad... Also, did you check to see whether the intercooler piping was included? I know on some of the sets it isn't. Usually they say.

those pics are from pretty far away... trust me.... rust!! Im imbarresed to take off the heat shield.. so it stays on.... it looks like the manifold came from the titanic.

You know how hot it gets under that shield? It doesn't look that bad at all, cept for the fact that you don't have the IC pipes. Bottom line, if it runs then you're ok, but waiting 4 months isn't. Didn't they send out wrong engines to customers before? Talk about headaches.

There have been problems with them, but they've always done their best to resolve them. They're changing managment at the moment... It will be interesting to see what comes of that.
