My ka 24de will turn over, but will not cratch. I know the silanoid in the starter is bad, but bypassed it with a momentary toggle switch. engine trys to crank, and i am getting fuel and spark, but motor will not catch.
I have tried to force start with starter fluid and gas mix in to the injector ports, but no dice. I double checked the timing, plugs, wires, coil, distributor, and fuel feeds, but no dice...any thoughts, or suggestions would be much appricieated. thanks, ken.:bash:

so ur saying ur getting fuel and spark?
did you check any other major sensors like the MAF? ECU throwing out any codes?

if you are getting fuel, and spark and air, and it does not start. then its either the ecu or timing.
was the car running before this problem? or? new swap?

i bought the car w/o engine, tranny, or harness, lol
the guy i got it from swaped it for an sr, but it was running, but it sat in the weather for a few months before I got it.

what ecu do you have now?
what does it say on the side of it?
all stock

do you know the type of harness? auto harness and manual harness are different. which harnesses did you need to replace? what year 240? what year ecu?

Its the original ecu, the harness came with the motor. so both are for manuel trannys, and out of the same year moddle with almost the exact same milage as the car itself.

So the motor cranks, its getting fuel, timed spark, and air, but still wont start. Compression? Perhaps the maf is toast?

you still did not answer the question therefore we cannot be of help. this is like throwing a list of parts up and having me magically tell you your hp and 1/4 numbers.
whats the numbers written on your maf?
what is the number and letter on the side of your ecu?
why cant you check your ecu for codes, is it in a secret lockbox protected by the secret service? unbolt that shit and flip it around.
secondly if you're cranking the car, it's getting spark but it's not getting fuel (i'm 100 percent sure you're not getting fuel.) your fuel pump has either died (unless you can hear it prime when you put your car to the on position before trying to crank it.) or if you do hear it prime but it's cranking but wont catch... your ECCS fuse in your engine bay fusebox is blown. it's normally a 7.5amp or 10 amp fuse.
those are a few places to look.
but we still need these questions answered. right now the maf isn't even a factor if it's not catching. it's not what starts your car and it will run without it.

Also, make sure your fuel line, and return line are not switched.... *whistles innocently*

first off, i do not have any code readers for the ecu, second the infectors (one at a time) were pulled to see if the pump was pushing the feul through to them, wich it is.
between my mon-friday 6am - 730pm and half days on sat's job, a wife an two year old, i don't get more than few hours a month to work on my car. Makes it difficult to just pull the ecu copy the numbers w/o pissing off the wife. As far as fuel lines, they are not crossed. i triple checked, every thing i did after each step to insure not to make the (retarded) mistakes that we all make at one time or another. I am hoping to get the chance to swing home for lunch one day this week, and check the ecu for the numbers, as far as the maf numbers, they are no longer readable. lol.
