Hi guys.
I am rebuilding my engine, s14 SR20DET. Had the last build make [email protected], and used Eagle rods on that engine.
I was planning to use Eagles again - didnt have any problems with them, and they are in like new condition, but my power aims have grown, and reading around the net, iam not entierly sure - should i stay or should i go (to a diffrent rod).
I know there are some of you pushing ove 500hp (Jez)..... What rods are you using ???
I am converting to Solid lifter Tomei's, and have a GT3582, wich i plan to push to get [email protected], if i can.
I was recomanded CARRILLO as being the best, though they only cost about 3 times more then the Eagles.
What do you think ?
Have anyone hear of any failuers with the Eagles ?
Also i read that it is recomaded to redo the Big end, for roundness on the Eagles, though i had a few sets in the past, and never had a problem. Obviously when the caps are tourqed down, the big end roundness depends on the torque used.
Did anyone had to do this on their rods ?
Thanks.
