anyone have personal experience with the 2860rs? ive heard great things about it being quick spooling. someone local told me they used to have one and reached full boost at around 2.5k which sounded pretty unreal to me. im looking for a bigger turbo for my s14 sr setup but not trying to change my whole setup and just really want a quickish spooling turbo that can run an efficient 20psi about. probably looking for somewhere around 330whp with bigger injectors and a tune. my friend has a 2871r but with stock everything else and not even a boost controller so ive yet to see what kind of power it can put out. anyone have suggestions or input? also price isnt a huge factor on my part. id rather spend the extra money and buy something good first. or does anyone know to an alternate turbo i might like? preferably t2 flange to bolt up to stock sr manifolds and water/oil cooled and most likely ball bearing.

i have a GT2876r, its a bigger turbo that bolts up to the stock sr manifold and downpipe. It can make on a stock sr 400+/- your mods + tuning.
only thing is it has a .86 ar exhaust housing, which does mean it spools slower ( if stock motor ) even though its dual ball bearing.
BUTT for what im asking you can buy a .64 housing from atpturbo.com, then it will spool just as fast a 2871r but make more power AND be cheaper. it should do a little over 300 on just 10psi and the turbo is good for like 22psi. or maybe even 25. somewhere in that number range.

the GT-RS will put out max 350hp.
get a gt2871 .64 if you want more power and good spool
max hp: 375-400
get a gt2871 .86 if you want a little more power and worse spool--will not run out of breathe at upper RPMs
max hp: 400-420

im thinking about the 2860rs really i just want something nice and snappy for a DD. but i dont want to be limited and be like shit... should have bought the 71r. ill probably see about what deals i can find used first and probably buy the first good deal or something. thanks for everyones help. any other input with anyone who has first hand experience with both of these would be helpful.

you can run that compressor wheel over 26psi effeciently. i have a .64 back side i will let go for $100 if he wants your turbo
