The event will take place SUNDAY FEBRUARY 21, 2010.

Info:

$5 Camping will be available Saturday night after 7pm.

Teams will consist of 3-4 cars. Roll cage required, 4 point with door bars minimum.

Judges include Matt Powers and Justin Pawlak so far.

Teams will practice and compete on the East Loop of the track running counterclockwise. Off-ramp will be the focus of the competition.

The competition will emphasize subjective team impact and cohesiveness to ensure a pure and equal opportunity for all teams to excel. Corollas can win too! Professional-Amateur teams only.

Buttonwillow Hundred Dollar Day presented by Fatlace

Fatlace and Bob's Donuts have joined forces to bring you the Buttonwillow Hundred Dollar Track Day, Sunday, February 21, 2010.

The event will be run clockwise on the high speed West loop of Buttonwillow Raceway.

$100 gets you 7x 20 minute sessions on track
There will be 3 run groups - Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced - with 12 cars each
The groups will run alternating 20 minute sessions from 9am-5pm + lunch break, for a total of 7 sessions

Registration will be conducted securely via Paypal, and upon payment you will receive a detailed personal confirmation email.

We may host a video production competition after the event is finished, all who make videos (film in your case) would submit their work and let the online community vote on which gets the prize and glory as winner. Entry speed is variable, depending on how much of a early entry you are comfortable with. You can enter mid 3rd or high into 3rd...maybe even 4th! it's up to you really. BTW, early entry is the clincher on The Offramp

For the grip guys, what tech requirements are needed? What helmet certification and stuff?

I'm working on a tech/schedule/basic rundown sheet that we'll post and email to all registered drivers.
Tech is fairly basic and obvious. There is not an inspection, just a personal checklist.
Helmets must be Snell M/SA95 or newer.

There is no cage requirement for grip. Stock interior is all good.

Snell motorcycle helmets newer than 1995 are fine. The year should be on a sticker inside, either 1995, 2000, or 2005.

I have two Large helmets if anyone needs to borrow one.

There will not be timing, but I will personally clock a few laps for anyone that asks haha.

You'll need to bring a 2gb simm card, a memory stick, a burnable data cd/dvd, or a laptop if you want to take the vid home with you. 2gb will get you 10 minutes of video. I'll have a laptop there.

We will need 6-7 volunteers from the Intermediate group to step up to Advanced. If no volunteers step up, the fastest 6-7 cars will be asked to join the Advanced group after a couple sessions.

Likewise, 2-3 Beginners will be asked to join the Intermediate group.




Drift teams are looking good, we have 2 more teams from Socal right now fighting time and hustling to get the cars done. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised with the team drifting turnout!


I'll see everyone at the track, and keep in mind that Buttonwillow will be charging a $10 entry fee for EVERYONE, including drivers.

Its only $20 for all the photos and I got lots of photos of everyone and I can't post all of them. Just paypal me at [email protected] and tell me what car you were driving, if you have a plate number that helps too.

I know its not much but I always cover events out of my own pocket so it helps with gas and equipment costs wear and tear.

Thanks for putting together an awesome event! I was supposed to film the whole event (I was the guy with the giant video camera), but some stuff happened and I wasn't able to :cry:. But oh well, stuff happens.

Here's a short video of basically most of the footage that I took. And be warned, I basically filmed 2% of the event and this is mostly so that my footage doesn't go to waste :/

What car were you in? Towards the end of the day, I got super comfortable with the track haha. Its a shame Joel had to leave early. Would've loved to run with him and see how fast his car is haha. Can't wait for the next one. Ill need new front tires for sure. I was fighting a bit of understeer at the limit which hindered my driving :/
