Now ive been thinking about this for a while now

how to do a ka-t swap and use a stock Sr ecu . but found no way around the coil pack's so i thought. if i use the front wheel drive sr ecu it has a distributor

does anyone also think it is possible

has anyone else done it already

Seriously why?

There are ways to tune the KA ecu. Do your research before brainstorming on stuff that makes no sense.

i obiously know theres a bunch of way to tune a ka comp

but if i could plug and play and not have to tune that would be awesome

sorry if everyone tinks my idea is a bad idea

it was just a thought

A question i think we all are waiting to be answered. :squint:

there are a million solutions, including running a tuned SR computer with coil packs on your KA, it would mean nutserting your valve cover, and fitting coil packs, not a big deal

somebody on here used a DSM computer similarly ages ago, but while interesting and a challenge, picking a challenge just to be different isn't always the best idea

some one tell him that a front drive sr is not turboed and has a distributor because of that
he thinks that using a factory tuned ecu for turbo would help him....... there was a guy here in central florida that did srdet ecu on his ka-t but he added the upgrades the ka-t needs .... for example coilpacks, and rigged a sr cas on it... i think he went aem after a couple of month though

well i guess i got my facts wrong

i thought they made a fwd sr20det

and my answer was if i could just pulg it in and not have to tune i was going to do a ka-t
cause i dont want to use a FMu cause they suck

so im just going to wait and buy an sr
