I removed my exhaust, everything back from the downpipe so that I could get it fixed at the exhaust shop without having to leave my car there.
However my car is my daily. The other day I noticed that my knock sensor level was much higher then what it ever has been. The only change that I've done is remove the exhaust. The oil is at the proper level, and the motor is low mileage without being really raced.
At idle and slight blip of the throttle there is no knocking as if a bad bearing. (I've had two motors throw bearings so I know that sound of the spoon in a garbage disposal)
So could having my exhaust make the knock levels spike?
