on a brake upgrade kit, would yall recommend iron rotors or aluminum? and why
Aluminum rotors? hehehe...
Aluminum hats = good... BUT overkill for most people (2-piece rotors). Isolates heat from the wheel bearings.
You'll find that all rotors are iron on the braking surface. Certain types of iron have different characteristics such as bite, thermal mass, etc.
As for calipers, aluminum is nice from a weight standpoint, but again overkill for most people. Iron is fine if you're considering a 300ZX upgrade. Most other aftermarket brake upgrades will have aluminum calipers.
