Four bangers or V8's?
A friend and I found ourselves arguing over advantages/disadvantages and potentials of 4 cyls or V8s
What are your thoughts?

Different motors have different advantages and it also depends on more variable than simply the number of cylinders.
Head design, # of valves, displacement, cylinder layout, etc.
In general, if you want higher revving, wider powerband power, go 4 cyl. If you want gut wrenching torque, low end power, etc go 8cyl.

ya know those 4 cyclinders will save some bread when your at the gas station.....plus we know a v8 can have a lot of power....but the question is can you make you 4 do the same?

v8's are better, they can make power more easily and with less mods. There is no replacement for displacement. Or in this case cylinders.
so, would you take a stock z06, or the silvia S15 pictured in your signature? :) I know which I'd take.
