Share the wealth. For some reason right now all I can think of are movies, griffith observatory, and amusement parks. Tell me what you've done or plan to do and what its price range is.

Is she hott? 1-10? body, face and attitude...
All this is needed before a decision of date place is made. lol

She's pretty, my age, and is very outgoing and open-minded. I just want to try something/some place different. Disneyland is too cliche.

Go work-out together.
bookstores
take classes together.
amusement parks are not for everyone,
although there are plenty.
maybe go autoX together (not much more than go-carting).
go try out different places to eat (I use yelp/chowhound to discover).
go to concerts (can drink w/out the clubbing non-sense)
go to museums (if that's your thing)
cook/try diff recipes together.
video games
take small weekend get-aways to Vegas, Yosemite, Mexico, etc.
sure there's a lot, lot more I can't think of

Museums eh? which ones are best? I was checking out that Disneyland "give a day, get a day" thing and that sounds cool. I was also checkin out Medieval times but I think that's too much for someone I just met.
I checked for concerts and I don't see anything interesting coming up anytime soon.
Keep it comin, I put this in regional because I was looking to get some recommendations on specific spots to go to based on personal experience.

For concerts, I just read LA Weekly (as I'm in Los Angeles).
I know there's also an OC Weekly.
As much as I hate to admit it, Myspace is a good resource to follow the touring dates of the artists you like.
I really like the Getty Museum.
It has a cool sunday brunch restaurant & wonderful scenery of los angeles.
You don't even need to go into the exhibits to enjoy a day there.
The Huntington Library, (in Pasadena) is also a nice spot.
It's really more of a garden though, with a pleasant afternoon tea restaurant.
Good place to shoot photos as well.

I was told of the Huntington Library as well. Sounds like a plan haha. I like weird ideas as well. If things work out with this lady, I wanna take her to the Renaissance Festival later in the year.

Sounds good. I took her to a drive-in theater out in Industry and she loved it. Comfy seats are definitely recommended.

HJ, BJ ? make out ? if not, then stay classy, get this bitches panties wet with romantic shit, keep her on her toes though. change it up everytime. Take her somewhere, where it will be easy to spark up a conversation. dinner should be one of the last things since you'll know more about her then. like mini golf to talk smack to eachother or encourage one another...then a walk in the park or the zoo to get comfortable...then seal the deal with a nice dinner and some dessert. keep her entertained and comfortable where shes laughing most of the time... no akward moments of silence. We've done everything but have sex, and the dates are surely helping. She wants to take it slow and I respect it, because she seems like GF material, not one-night stand stuff. I'm actually gonna meet her parents for the first time this weekend, which should be fine since I'm usually good with parents. Snowboarding is definitely a plan on sunday though. And this rain was a blessing in disguise. aka we cuddled a lot hahaha. stfu don't tease me, I really like her. I do feel you on the smack talk bit though. That always works.
Anyways, these ideas are certainly helping. Also, anyone into the whole DineLA thing? which spots have the best 3 course meals?

So im gonna do it the easy way, lol
copy, paste,
There is a pink Berries on Vermont, right above Hollywood Blvd in the los feliz area.
Then, within 2 miles there is either,
Griffith Park Observatory that over looks Hollywood/LA/and all the way to the beach.
Great at sunsets.
Great at night too, and sometimes they set up a telescope outside you can look at stuff.
Other people around so its not to streesful date stuff yaknow.
Its romatic, but because of the other people around, it doesnt feel forced or over the top.
In the daytime, you can park at the bottom and hike up the trail to the observatory.
Then, there are usually kids having field trips and checking the place out on the inside.
So you can go in with your date.
Its kind of a museum feel, with little displayes and things you can read.
Or,
If your been past some holding hands, or your going for it, and thats it.
Take your Pink Berry to the Los Feliz Fountain, and watch traffic drive by wehile you chill in the dark and look at the fountain and laugh.
pic i took of fountain.

In the summer months they have the movies at the Hollywood forever cemetary.
Its not to expensive.
Once again, people around, so its takes that stressful edge off dating and also gives you alot to look at and talk about, so you dont end up in uncomfortable silence.

Downtown Hollywood, FREE !
Walk the stars, look at stupid ass shit in tacky sovenier shops and laugh, take each others pictures putting your hands on the handprints, look at the people dressed in outfits, and WATCH the tourist (there funny to people watch) get a coffee and walk around.
Go in the week or earlier in the night, so your date doesnt wish you were taking her to an expensive club.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3210/2802860966_e2d2eaaf49.jpg
This is a little artsy and you gotta have a girl really comfortable. More like a 3rd date, middle of the week.
Get a starbucks and just go downtown LA.
In the main skyscraper area off of the 110/101/ area.
Downtown is literally dead at night. not even a car after 11pm.
If you like photos and you both have some talent, it makes a great photography date.
Stay away from the end of the number streets south of little tokyo.
Better if you drive through on a night off and check out the areas you wanna be first.
Mainly around disney concert hall and MOCA.

China town is cool at night.
There is lights and a little fountain you can throw change at for good luck.
Go just after dark, so some shops will still be open.
Or go in the daytime with all the foot traffic.
after 8is, its pretty dead and everythings closed for the most part.
At night, Little Tokyo has icecream shops and a couple little stores with all kinds of cool fashion things, stationary, odd japanese household items, and is prett safe.
There are restraunts and a starbucks there as well as a pink berry.
Venice beach is always cool on the weekend.
Rent the bikes, ride down the beach.
check out all the shops.
Santa Monica Pier.
MOCA,
Getty Museum is HUGE and only cost the parking amount.
La Brea Tarpits is pretty cheap.
Edison is really nice for a drink and has cool shows, dress decently though.
Universal City Walk is the price of parking and has all kinds of stuff to do and is nice at night time and kinda exciting in the day.
Lots to look at and talk about.
Some Disney land pics if you want,

The hillside behind Burbank has a nice view.
http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s242/castro_castro/layered.jpg
This may seem odd.
If you have Dinner, and it goes well. And you didnt have any plans lined up.
The Top of Parking garages in a pickle can substititue a great view. Especially in the city.
And will put you in a "cool" catagorie of a artsy, just a little different than a typical douche catagorie.
No one ever perks on the top, and you get a great view, your car windo open with a little music if you want, bring your pink berry, and look over the city or people watch.
This ones in Burbank.

The one at the ARClight in Hollywood is great too.
You can park at the Arclight.
Go to Borders Books across the street, go to Ameba
Have a nice dinner at the Arclight Cinema, or just the fruit and cheese plate ($12.00).
watch a movie, then take the elevator to the top of the parking garage and it over looks LA really nicely.
Mullholland drive over looking the valley.

You can go fly a kite like me and my girlfriend, lol.

Kinda miss dating random chicks, lmao!!
lotta fun.
But dates with my GF are even more fun :)
Most of those spots have ALOT to talk about, so its easier for the people on the date to get comfortable and fall into conversation.

Take her to your favorite places.
Fuck it if she doesn't like it. At least if it turns out bad then you'll at least enjoy yourself.
They'll appreciate the fact that you take them your favorite places more.

Any good spots or parks to kill time in or around Irvine? I'm taking her to the Irvine Spectrum for a show/dinner thing on V-Day.

I'd probably opt for the Long Beach pier or Disneyland during the day.
Doesn't seem to be a lot going on in Irvine as far as I know.
Always thought it was more of a residential suburb.
Maybe the UCI kids know more.
Also be careful of the cops in the area.
They're known for setting up sobriety (if not also smog) barricades.
Good luck.

in irvine theres a place called suicide hill. you walk up the path (stairs) of the hill and at the top you get a nice city view of irvine. and irvine is only 15 min away from the beach and balboa island so thats another possibility you can do to kill time.
