Replaced my front main seal on my 91 240sx this past friday. No issues at all. Torqued the crankshaft bolt to proper specs, replaced all belts, and put everything back together. Drove it around with no leaks that day. Next day I make an hour trip to pick up new seats and when pulling into the guys house, notice that my engine is now extremely loud from the front of the engine bay. A description of the sound is really just an increase in the volume, kinda like when a transfer truck starts moving. Everything looks goo that I put back on. Any ideas what the noise could be? Belts overtightened, something just not attached right, etc?

I am having sort of the same problem. I just bought another 240 a couple months ago, and the engine is really loud. It's not that noticable at idle, but the higher you rev, the louder it gets. It sounds like a truck, for lack of a better description. Kinda like when a big rig starts going from a dead stop. Anyways, I thought it was exhaust manifold leaks, so I checked, and some bolts and nuts were loose. I ended up putting on an after market header/downpipe combo, leaving the cat, and put on a cat back.
IT'S STILL LOUD AS A MOTHER FUPP. So, I'm pretty sure it's not exhaust leaks. I have no idea what it is. It kinda sounds like it's coming from the front of the motor, but it's really hard to tell.
Please, if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.

Thank you sir, but I already figured it out. I took it off yesterday, and now we're good.
