Hello I am new to the nissan world and have a s13 with a sr2o swap i have had the car for a month or two. The boost gauge reads -25 at idle then climbs as i accelerate and when it reaches 0 and up it starts to miss fire. I have replaced the exhaust gaskey due to it leaking but nothing else. Is -25 a normal reading at idle for the sr20, and why would it just start after a gasket change and start mis firing any help would be appreciated thanks.

At idle your boost gauge is reading vaccum. you will notice that your gauge has to sides to it on in in/hg and one for pressure. At idle there is no boost from the turbo so you see vaccum, Your gauge climbs out of vaccum as you builds pressure in the manifold. Your miss during boost could be a few things Plugs, Coils, Fuel injectors you know the usual misfire problem areas check them first.

check your ecu for codes.

might be the knock sensor is bad and pulling timing.
